A display case for a piece of local history

Preserving local history is always gratifying. It was therefore an honor to be asked to build a display case for these swords with local history. One sword was found in a Clove Creek and is believed to date back to the Revolutionary War. The other sword is from the the World War I era and belonged to a prominent local businessman and politician.
As with nearly all Bevel-Up pieces, this case is constructed with structural joinery. Every joint serves a purpose. Dovetails at the corners are complimented by a mitered bridle jointed face frame.
