Traditional Japanese toolboxes feature sliding lids that secure with tongues that slide under end caps. These pencil cases were inspired by those toolboxes but are constructed for a more refined appearance.

The sliding lid is retained but is made flush with the end caps. A keyed wedge keeps everything secure during transport and a hand carved finger pull graces the top of the lid.

These boxes are available in various woods and finishes at our in-person events in the Philipstown, NY area.
